Made by GRAYL, this Purifier is a replacement cartridge for the GRAYL Ultralight Purifier [+Filter] Bottle. The ultimate in purification and filtration technology, the replacement Purifier Cartridge makes clean, safe water from virtually any fresh water source and is designed for international travel, outdoor adventure and emergency use – anywhere in the world! And it provides full-spectrum purification (+filtration) provides ultimate protection against pathogens (bacteria, protozoa, and more), particulates, chemicals and heavy metals. It's suitable for the rigors of international travel, backpacking, hiking, camping, canoeing, fly fishing, hunting, survival and emergencies worldwide. The replaceable Purifier Cartridge lifespan is 300 uses (40 gal / 150 L), depending on water quality. The cartridge will require an increasing press time as its reaches the end of its lifespan, as impurities reduce the water flow. Once press time doubles (i.e. from 15 to 30 seconds), the Purifier Cartridge should be replaced. Stored under proper conditions, an unopened Purifier Cartridge has a shelf life of 10 years (making it ideal for emergency and bug out kits). After a cartridge has been used, it lasts at least 3 additional years.
